DIRECTIONS FOR USE
IT IS A VIOLATION OF FEDERAL LAW TO USE THIS PRODUCT IN A MANNER INCONSISTENT WITH ITS LABELING. It is CRITICAL that TANGLER CM is applied as directed.

CROPS Apples, pears, quince and other pome fruit; walnut, pecan and other tree nut crop; peaches, prunes, plums, nectarines and other stone fruits.

TARGET PESTS: Codling moth (Cydia pomonella) and Hickory shuckworm (Cydia caryana)

Timing: Apply prior to emergence of target pests in the spring. Consult your local independent pest advisor, or distributor representative for proper timing.

PLACEMENT: Dispensers should be targeted to be placed in the top of the tree. Dispensers should be placed no lower than the upper third. They should be applied evenly throughout the treated area. If more than one dispenser is to be placed in a tree they should be on opposite sides. RATE: Minimum of 250 dispensers per acre (34.39 g a.i. per application). Maximum of 500 dispensers per acre ( 68.78 g a.i. per application). Apply maximum rate of dispensers in orchards that are medium to high risk, or moderate to heavily infested orchards, or any orchard adjacent to stored bins, buildings or untreated orchards. High risk orchards are defined as first year disruption or if traps placed at 1 per every five acre block are catching more than 3 moths a week. Apply double rates of dispensers to edges of orchard. Do not exceed 150 g a.i. (or 950 dispensers) per acre per year. NOTE: Tangler CM mating disruption formulations are used to disrupt the mating cycle of the target pest(s). The efficacy of any mating disruptant will be reduced by the influx of mated females from adjacent external sources of infestation. The areas of infestation can be removed, treated with Tangler CM, treated with an effective insecticide or the pheromone treated orchard can be treated with insecticide. The most effective treatment use of disruption are large uniform blocks or areawide. Supplemental insecticide treatments are recommended in areas were populations are above threshold levels or high populations. All pests in the pheromone treated area must be monitored so that timely intervention with insecticides is possible.

APPLICATION METHOD: Tangler CM can be applied by throwing, walking or from an ATV. It can also be applied by using a compressed gas powered launcher. The product should be targeted at the upper third of the tree. If product is placed too low in trees, moth mating can occur above pheromone level. Apply product evenly over the whole area to be treated. Twenty percent more product should be applied to border or entry areas.

HAND APPLICATION: Place one Tangler CM in hand, break apart and throw at targeted area. Product will open up and start to spin before tangling in target zone.

MECHANICAL APPLICATION: Using a compressed gas powered launcher, load a clip of Tangler CM. Target the upper third of the tree and pull the trigger. Tangler CM will tangle in the target area.

MONITORING: Treated areas should be monitored weekly by placing delta traps every 5 acres baited with a codling moth lure. Continue monitoring throughout the season for both the target pest and non-target pests. Supplemental controls may be needed if pest populations reach threshold levels.
